Description | With index of correspondents. The letters are concerned almost exclusively with Continental affairs. The majority are to Continental Central Banks or to other Officials on the Continent, and seek information about, or give comments on, economic and financial developments. Some of the letters are in French and some in German. Most of them will also be in the relevant OV files. The volume also includes arrangements for Bank staff to study languages in the United Kingdom (UK) and abroad; origins of Bank for International Settlements (BIS); and a few letters from Francis Rodd when Siepmann was on holiday in Scandinavia in July, or with the Formation Committee of the BIS in Baden-Baden in the autumn. |
