In the Community

The Bank of England has a long history of community involvement in local, regional and national initiatives. Supporting the voluntary sector continues to be an important part of our culture. The Bank's current policy focuses on supporting community involvement by its staff, whether this is through programmes promoted by the Bank or by volunteering on their own initiative. Bank Staff who undertake voluntary work can apply for a donation to the organisation/s they work for. The Bank recognises the value of involvement in the voluntary sector and education business links, and works closely with a number of organisations offering staff the opportunity to be involved in their programmes. The Bank works in partnership with the Charities Trust.
