Access arrangements for:

Banking Services

  • Should you be unable to use the steps at the Front Entrance (Threadneedle Street), a Security Operations staff member will be on hand to escort you via another route to the Banking Counter, which is open from 9.30am until 3pm.
  • A portable writing table (eazydesk) is available for wheelchair users.
  • An induction/hearing loop is available.

The purchase of publications

  • Should you be unable to use the steps at the Front Entrance (Threadneedle Street), a Security Operations staff member will be on hand to escort you to the Reception area via another route, or they can bring the publications to you while you wait.
  • A member of the Reception staff will assist you in the open Reception area.
  • Publications can be purchased from 8.30am until 5.30pm.

The Museum

  • The Museum Entrance is in Bartholomew Lane.
  • There are steps/handrails at the entrance or a Security Operations staff member will be available to assist you into the Museum.
  • An intercom facility is available for you to request assistance.
  • The Museum opening hours are 10am until 5pm (Monday to Friday). Entrance is free.
  • Should you require them, ramps can be put in place within the Museum to assist your visit.
  • Where possible, Museum exhibits have been adapted to meet the needs of disabled visitors.
