Capturing the City: Photography at the Bank of England

Capturing the City LogoThe Bank’s photographic collection provides a fascinating record of the Bank, its buildings and staff since the Victorian era. In partnership with the Bank of England Archive, this temporary exhibition takes a look into the Bank’s past, and explores the history of a medium that has come to dominate the world around us #CapturingtheCityBoE.

Children drawingExplore the Museum’s inspiring photography exhibition Capturing the City: Photography at the Bank of England, revealing some of the Bank’s historical moments. Create your own memories by having your photograph taken in front of a gold vault backdrop, creating the illusion of standing inside a vault amongst the 400,000 bars of gold which lie beneath the building.You can then join a creative workshop and make your own ‘Funky photo frame’ to display your picture.
