| William
Pitt the Younger |
Charles James Fox |
Another small collection which nevertheless contains several key pieces. It includes busts of William Pitt the Younger and his arch opponent, Charles James Fox (both by Nollekens and located in the museum) and an incomparable life-size statue of William III by Henry Cheere. The statue was commissioned by the Bank in 1732 to mark the opening of its first purpose-built premises in Threadneedle Street.
