Security by Design ExhibitionSpecial exhibitions and events take place in the Museum throughout the year. These range from exhibitions on aspects of the Bank of England's work and history, often including items from the Bank's collections that are not on public display, to activities for children during school holidays, and seasonal craft and concert events.

The first banknote featuring a portrait of HM The Queen was issued on 17 March 1960. Fifty years on, this display traces the development of the portrait of the monarch on Bank of England notes.

Follow a treasure trail to find eggs hidden in the Museum. There's a chocolate egg for every child and prizes to be won.

pencil potIs the Bank on your case?
Draw and colour your favourite Museum exhibit onto a pencil case to take home. There is a free pen and pencil for every case with a Bank of England there.
