- Bartering
An early system of exchange (buying and
selling) where goods and services were swapped; the goods
and services were used as currency (money).
- Counterfeit
A fake
- Currency
Something we use to buy and sell (exchange)
goods and services. Money is a type of currency.
- Demand
The amount of something that people want
or need to buy.
- Goods
Things we buy and sell that can be made
or grown such as clothes, food and cars.
- Inflation
A rise in lots of prices at the same time
– an overall rise in prices.
- Interest
The amount of money (shown as a percentage)
that can be earned or charged for saving or borrowing an amount
of money.
- Price
The amount of money for which something
can be bought or sold.
- Purchases
Things we buy.
- Services
People doing things for other people such
as a mechanic mending a car, a hairdresser cutting hair or
a bus driver taking people to work.
- Supply
The amount of things that are produced or
can be bought.
