The conference will cover all aspects of the measurement and use of economic statistics, including: National Accounts and ‘Beyond GDP’, the productivity puzzle, the digital economy, measurement using big data and administrative data, international trade flows, regional statistics, and the location of economic activity.
Nicholas Bloom (Stanford University and ESCoE) and Hal Varian (University of California at Berkeley and Google) will give keynote presentations. Sir David Norgrove (Chair, UK Statistics Authority) will give the opening remarks. Andy Haldane (Chief Economist, Bank of England) will give the closing remarks.
