Ed Smith is a former international cricketer, sports commentator and writer. At this event, guests will have the opportunity to find out more about his career and ask him questions.

Ed has played at the highest standard of cricket for England, Cambridge University, Kent and Middlesex. He retired from cricket following an ankle injury in 2008.

But his career didn’t end there. He became a commentator for the BBC programme ‘Test Match Special’ in 2012 and has recently been appointed as the new national selector for the England cricket team.

Ed has written many columns and essays for a range of publications including the New Statesman and the Sunday Times. He has authored four books including ‘Luck: what it means and why it matters’ and ‘What sport tells us about life’.
