Chris has been Agent for Central Southern England since April 2009 having previously worked in the Agency network when the Bank opened the Agency for Wales in the late 1990’s. He has extensive experience in several areas of the Bank’s responsibilities having contributed over many years. After the Bank was given independence for monetary policy, he led the development of support for the monetary policy process specialising in IT and business process improvement. Before being appointed Agent he was a member of the Bank's Senior Management as Head of Information Systems and Technology Division setting and delivering the Bank’s technology and information strategy.
