Smaller insurers briefing, 15 September 2015: Materials

On 15 September 2015, the PRA hosted a briefing for category 5 insurers. Introduced by Sam Woods, Executive Director of insurance, and hosted by Chris Moulder, Director of General Insurance, the plenary session was followed by three tailored breakouts for Solvency II-affected firms, non-Directive firms, and firms considering or pursuing an exit strategy.

Smaller insurers briefing, 15 September 2015

On 23 July, the PRA invited Chief Executives of category 5 insurance firms to attend a smaller insurers briefing on 15 September. The briefing will provide CEOs with key regulatory messages on the current supervisory approach and key initiatives such as Solvency II, the Senior Insurance Managers Regime and the approach for the supervision of non-Directive firms.

Smaller insurers seminar, October 2013

In October 2013, the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) gave a seminar in Manchester and London to category 5 firms.  

The aim of the seminar was to:
  • explain the PRA approach to supervision for smaller insurers;
  • highlight issues and risks insurers face;
  • share insights in the wider context for insurers; and
  • signpost to information and support available. 
Chris Moulder, Director of General Insurance, hosted the event. Speakers from the Non-Life and International Composites Department, Insurance Sector and Prudential Support, and the Financial Conduct Authority covered the topics listed in Key Resources.
