List of declared gifts, hospitality and other disclosable interests for Martin Mallett for the period 1 January 2013 to 31 March 2014

17 December 2014

Subject/Request Details: List of declared gifts, hospitality and other disclosable interests for Martin Mallett for the period 1 January 2013 to 31 March 2014.

Date Released: 17 December 2014

Disclosure: In answer to a request for the above the following list of received hospitality attended by Martin Mallet was provided. There were no gifts declared in that period.  Insofar as other information is held by the Bank it is exempt from disclosure under section 40(2) of the FoI Act.

Additional Information: The Bank gathers regular intelligence from contacts in a wide range of market areas, for the purposes of informing monetary and financial stability policy, and for gaining insights into market functioning. This intelligence is gathered via a number of channels: primarily through telephone conversations with market contacts, but also through more formal working groups and other face to face meetings, such as working lunches. The working lunches itemised in this FOI response were part of Mr. Mallett’s market intelligence gathering responsibilities. It is a matter of public record that the Deputy Governor for Markets and Banking is conducting a comprehensive review of the Bank’s Market Intelligence function. This was announced by the Governor in March.
