As announced in the tender notice dated 5 May 1998 an additional ECU 50 mn of 6-month Bills has been allotted directly to the Bank of England for the account of the Exchange Equalisation Account. These Bills may be made available through sale and repurchase transactions to the market makers listed in the Information Memorandum (as supplemented) in order to facilitate settlement.

The next tender for UK Government ECU Treasury Bills is to be held on Tuesday, 9 June 1998. Details of the amounts and maturities of Bills to be offered at that tender will be announced at 2.30 pm London time on Tuesday, 2 June 1998.
