2 1/2% Index-Linked Treasury Stock 2001

In accordance with the terms of the prospectus dated 20 August 1982, the Bank of England announces that the rate of interest payable on the above stock for the interest payement due on 24 March 2001 will be £2.7227 per £100 nominal of stock.
