Bank of England Euro Bills

4 December 2001

1. The Bank of England today announced the issue of Euro 1,000 million nominal of Bank of England Euro Bills, for auction on a bid-yield basis on Tuesday, 11 December 2001, in the following maturities:

Euro 200 million for maturity on 17 January 2002,
Euro 500 million for maturity on 14 March 2002 and
Euro 300 million for maturity on 13 June 2002.

2. An additional Euro 50 million nominal of six-month Bills, maturing on 13 June 2002, will be allotted directly to the Bank of England. A copy of the auction notice published by the Bank is attached.
