Neeltje van Horen

​Research Advisor - Monetary Analysis and Chief Economist Division ​

Neeltje van Horen is a Research Advisor at the Research Hub of the Bank of England and a Research Fellow of the CEPR. Prior to joining the Bank of England she worked as a Senior Economist at De Nederlandsche Bank and as a Financial Economist at the World Bank. Neeltje has visited and worked at the International Monetary Fund, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Her research focuses mainly on macro-financial linkages, international finance and international financial markets and institutions.

Neeltje has published articles on foreign banking, financial crises, international shock transmission, small business lending and sovereign debt in a number of journals, including Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Review of Finance, IMF Economic Review and the American Economic Review: Papers and Proceedings.
