Provisional estimates of broad money (M4) and credit (M4 lending) - November 2009

Seasonally adjusted provisional figures for November are as follows. M4fell by £0.6 billion, below the average flow for the previous six months of £12.8 billion. The twelve-month growth rate continued to fall, to 9.2% from 10.8% in October.

M4 lending increased by £9.3 billion (0.4%) in November. The twelve-month growth rate continued to fall, to 5.7% from 5.9% in October.

M4 lending (excluding the effects of securitisations etc.) increased by £3.9 billion (0.1%) in November.  The twelve-month growth rate continued to fall, to 6.5% from 6.8% in October.
