16 November 2005

Lending to other financial corporations (OFCs) increased by £1.4bn in Q3. Lending to non-financial corporations (NFCs) rose by £11.1bn, driven by increases in lending to development buying, selling and renting of real estate (+£5.5bn) and legal, accountancy, consultancy and other business activities (+£2.3bn).

Deposits from OFCs rose by £10.1bn. The largest factor behind this move was an increase of £17.8bn from securities dealers. This was partially offset by a fall of £11.2bn in deposits from activities auxiliary to financial intermediation.
