The Statistics Area of the Bank
Welcome to the Statistics Area of the Bank’s web site. The Bank is responsible for compiling and publishing a large range of statistics, including domestic and international banking statistics.
In these pages, we provide an overview of the Bank’s statistical work, the data we collect and the standards that we set ourselves (in our 'Code of Practice'). We also set out the Bank's new approach to collecting statistics using 'Cost Benefit Analysis'.
On-line access to data is available via our Statistical Interactive Database or in formatted tables in our monthly on-line publication, Monetary and Financial Statistics, which also includes articles that explain our statistics in more detail.
