Key points
- Adjusted for exchange rate movements, external liabilities decreased by $1.5 billion during 2022 Q3. The largest decreases in liabilities were to Developed Countries, with the largest decreases against the United States and Switzerland. The decrease in liabilities to Developed Countries was largely offset by increases in liabilities to the other regional totals.
- Adjusted for exchange rate movements, external claims increased by $98.7 billion during 2022 Q3. The largest increase in claims was on Developed Countries, with the largest increases on the United States, Japan and Germany.
