Sectoral breakdown of aggregate M4 and M4 lending

M4 lending (excluding the effects of securitisations etc) to the household sector rose by £8.0 billion in October. The annual growth rate continued to fall, to 10.1% in October. The annual rate of growth of the household sector's holdings of M4 also fell, to 8.0%. M4 lending (excluding the effects of securitisations etc) to private non-financial corporations (PNFCs) rose by £1.8 billion in October. PNFCs’ holdings of M4 rose by £3.4bn, following two months of reductions. Holdings of M4 by other financial corporations (OFCs) rose by £8.9bn and M4 lending (excluding the effects of securitisations etc) to OFCs rose by £5.6bn in October, with both annual growth rates increasing.
