Sectoral breakdown of aggregate M4 and M4 lending

M4 lending (excluding the effects of securitisations etc) to the household sector rose by £6.8bn in October.  The annual growth rate slowed to 9.1%.  Annual growth in the household sector's holdings of M4 rose to 8.4%.  M4 lending (excluding the effects of securitisations etc) to private non-financial corporations (PNFCs) rose by £8.0bn in October, while annual growth rose by 1.4pp to 18.2%.  PNFCs’ holdings of M4 rose by £1.1bn; annual growth fell by 1.9pp to 8.9%.  Holdings of M4 by other financial corporations (OFCs) fell by £3.3bn and M4 lending (excluding the effects of securitisations etc) to OFCs rose by £5.2bn in October.
