Provisional estimates of narrow money
(notes & coin and M0)

Provisional figures for September indicate that, seasonally adjusted, notes and coin in circulation were on average broadly the same as in August. The twelve-month growth rate fell to 3.8%, from 4.9% in August.

Total M0 (including banks' operational deposits as well as notes and coin) increased by 0.3%, seasonally adjusted, in September. The twelve-month growth rate fell to 5.4%, from 6.1% in August.
