Provisional estimates of broad money (M4)
and credit (M4 lending)
June 2006
Provisional figures for June indicate
that M4 £22.3 billion, seasonally adjusted;
above the average rise for the previous six months of £13.3
billion. The twelve-month growth rate rose to 13.7% from 11.7%
in May.
M4 lending increased by £29.0 billion
or 1.7%, seasonally adjusted, in June. The twelve-month growth
rate rose to 14.1% from 12.6% (12.5%) in May.
M4 lending (excluding the effects of securitisations
etc.) increased by £30.3 billion
or 1.6%, seasonally adjusted, in June. The twelve-month growth
rate rose to 15.5 from 14.4% in May.
