Provisional estimates of broad money (M4)
and credit (M4 lending)
November 2007
Provisional figures for November indicate that M4 rose by £1.3 billion, seasonally adjusted; below the average flow for the previous six months of £14.1 billion. The twelve-month growth rate fell to 11.1% from 11.8% in October.
M4 lending increased by £16.7 billion or 0.8%, seasonally adjusted, in November. The twelve-month growth rate fell to 12.9% from 13.6% in October.
M4 lending (excluding the effects of securitisations etc.) increased by £21.7 billion or 0.9%, seasonally adjusted, in November. The twelve-month growth rate fell to 14.4% from 15.0% in October.
