Statistical Notices to Reporting Banks 2007/09

Statistical Notices should be received by all those responsible for the completion of Bank of England returns. To amend the circulation list please contact Christopher Louth (Tel. 020 7601 5465).

 

1. Statistical reporting seminar for beginners (replies by 7 September)

We will be running a one day briefing seminar on Tuesday 2 October.  This seminar is for those with little or no experience of reporting to the Bank and we aim to give an overview of why and how we collect the data as well as what we do with it.  The day will consist of three sessions:

i) Core Forms
Data Processing
Cash Ratio Deposits
Common problem areas where reporting is open to misinterpretation
Forms BT and PL
The plausibility process

ii) Commonly reported forms
Forms BE, AD, AL, BG and “C” forms

iii) Specialist forms
Forms CX, DQ, ER, HF, HI, HO, IC, IO, IS and WO

The seminar will be held in the Conference Centre here at the Bank and lunch will be provided.  For your convenience a form for your reply can be downloaded here.

Please contact Leslie Lambert (Tel. 020 7601 4544) indicating which session(s) you would like to attend.  For the “specialist forms” session, please indicate the form(s) you are particularly interest in.

To help us make the sessions as focussed as possible we would be grateful if attendees could provides us with details of any specific problem areas when they apply for places.
A letter confirming your place(s) as well as details of exact timings will be sent out after 7 September.
