MFI holdings of securities collection
Following discussions with the British Banker’s Association Statistics Advisory Panel, the Bank’s Data and Statistics Division are undertaking a consultation with some reporters to seek views on proposals to collect security by security data on the holdings of MFIs. The data will support the needs of the Monetary Policy Committee and the Financial Policy Committee and will be collected from January 2019 reporting, from a sample of MFIs to be confirmed at a later date. A list of attributes and definitions will be available in due course.
