Alieda became Deputy Agent for Greater London in January 2019.
Alieda previously worked in the Bank of England’s Resolution Directorate, advancing our work on making sure the financial system is stable by ensuring UK banks can be placed in resolution
if they fail. As a Senior Analyst in the execution team, she led on live contingency planning for a potential mid-sized bank failure and, most recently, was Private Secretary to the Executive Director for Resolution.
Before joining the Bank of England in 2015, Alieda worked at Deloitte as a Strategy and Operations Consultant, and interned at Goldman Sachs in the Foreign Exchange Middle Office.
Alieda graduated with a First Class Honours in Economics from Loughborough University, where she was awarded the Head of Economics Department Prize.
Alieda is co-chair of the Bank of England Ethnic Minorities (BEEM) staff network. She takes a leading role on diversity and inclusion issues at the Bank.
