Step into the fun and fantastical world of the Wind in the Willows in these immersive storytelling sessions for children.

Inspired by the timeless classic (which has never been out of print since it was first published in 1908), a costumed storyteller will bring stories of Toad’s adventures to life, captivating the imagination of children and adults alike.

Mr Toad is a mischievous, haphazard character who has an unfortunate knack of getting into hot water! Listen to how his curiosity results in a perilous hot air balloon trip, and how he makes a narrow escape from a spell in prison – in a cunning disguise!

Storytelling sessions will take place in the Museum Rotunda at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00. Admission to the Museum is free and there is no need to book in advance, but we suggest that you arrive in good time before your preferred session is due to start.

Free admission

We are open Monday-Friday 10am to 5pm (excluding Bank Holidays), last entry at 4:30pm.
