About the event

Saturday 9 November 2019
11am to 5pm (last admission 4.30pm)

The Lord Mayor’s Show takes place every year in the City of London. It is one of the biggest city processions in the world.

The procession begins at Bank and ends in Aldwych. It travels from Mansion House to Fleet Street, past St Paul’s, then back along Embankment.

We’re near Bank tube station and the parade passes very close to our museum. So why not visit us for some family fun. Learn more about banknotes and gold and chat to people who work with them.

You can hold our real 13kg gold bar or try your hand at cracking a safe.

You can even be a banknote character by posing in one of our cut-out banknote photo boards!

What you need to know

Our museum and all our activities are free. There is no need to book in advance.

Any visitors who are lucky enough to be under 16 years old need to bring an adult.

We don’t have a lot of space for storing buggies and pushchairs. So we may ask you to take them with you as you go round the museum.

Free admission

We are open Monday-Friday 10am to 5pm (excluding Bank Holidays), last entry at 4:30pm.
