About the event

Friday 25 October 2019
5.30pm to 9pm (last admission 8.30pm)

On Friday 25 October, we’ll be open til late with some ghoulishly good things on offer. Chat to people who work with our banknotes and gold boo-llion hidden deep in our vaults. Discover some of the intriguing records from our archive too.

Hear the much anticipated ghost story of Sarah Whitehead (also known as the Bank Nun). Find out how she came to haunt our cloistered corridors in performances at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm in the museum’s cinema.

What you need to know

This event takes place outside of our usual opening hours and is intended for teenagers and adults. Any visitors under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. We expect the event to be extremely popular.

Entry is free, but places for the ghost story performances are limited and cannot be booked in advance. Tickets will be allocated at the information desk on a first-come, first served basis. So please arrive in good time to avoid disappointment.

Free admission

We are open Monday-Friday 10am to 5pm (excluding Bank Holidays), last entry at 4:30pm.
