Join us on Thursday 18 August from 5pm to 8pm as we stay open late to celebrate all things archaeology!
Walk the route of the ‘lost’ River Walbrook with our museum team on a guided walking tour. Dig into our collection with special objects that tell a story of Roman Londinium. And, for the young archaeologists among us, families can enjoy archaeology-themed activities throughout the museum!
All events are free. The archaeological object table and family activities will be available from 5pm to 7.30pm with no booking needed. More information and registration for the walking tour can be found below.
Free guided walking tour
Walk the route of the ‘lost’ River Walbrook with our museum guides. We will take you to discover the changing landscape of City of London, from Walbrook Wharf to the Bank of England Museum.
After the tour, feel free to wander around the museum to find out more about the history of the Bank and its work today. Plus, check out a special selection of items not normally on display, related to archaeological excavations at the Bank!
Where: Tours will start outside The Banker pub, Cousin Lane, EC4R 3TE. Detailed instructions will be emailed to you two days before the tour

Please arrive 5 minutes before the tour as we will quickly be on the move. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment, tours are capped at 25 attendees.
