May half-term: amazing architecture

This half-term, families can discover some of the architects and architecture linked to our building.

About the event

When: 30 May to 2 June 2023*, 10am to 4.30pm

Architecture: A subject where ancient meets modern, and art meets science! With so much to see and admire in London, bring the whole family along to look up, look closely, and feel inspired!

We’re offering families the opportunity to explore the Museum from an architectural angle this half-term with the help of a free trail on Tuesday 30 May and Friday 2 June.

The trail is best suited to visitors aged 8 and up, but there will be free colouring activities available for all ages.

Plus, on Wednesday 31 May and Thursday 1 June, we’ve teamed up with St Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate Wren 300, a festival which explores various achievements of Christopher Wren, the famous British architect, mathematician and astronomer. Complete the trails at both sites to receive an official stamp from the Museum, and a sticker from the shop at St Paul’s.

Pick up your free trail from the information desk at our museum, or from the shop at St Paul’s Cathedral if you’re participating on 31 May or 1 June. The shop is downstairs and can be accessed from the entrance near the front corner of the Cathedral.

*Please note, we are closed on Bank Holidays, including Monday 29 May.
