Dr Silvia Pepino leads the team in charge of the international economic forecast and the analysis of related macro-policy issues, supporting the MPC, the FPC and the Bank’s international engagement.
Previously, she led the Bank’s policy and engagement effort in the Capital Markets Division and she acted was a Senior Adviser in the financial stability directorate (FSSR).
Before joining the Bank, she worked for fifteen years in leading global financial institutions, including as Chief Economist at Comac Capital, head of a Euro area economics team at JPMorgan, and senior economist at Brevan Howard Asset Management.
She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science, the TRIUM MBA degree from New York University-Stern, HEC Paris and the LSE, and an MSc from Bocconi University in Milan. She is author of the book ‘Sovereign Risk and Financial Crisis’ (Palgrave Macmillan, 2015).
