| Admin History | In 1960 the Bank began to publish a Quarterly Bulletin, following one of the recommendations of the Radcliffe Committee on the Working of the Monetary System (Cmnd 827, August 1959). The Economic Intelligence Department (until 1964 effectively part of the Central Banking Information Department) was responsible for the Bulletin. |
| Description | The bulletin customarily contains an economic commentary and a financial review; articles, notices and speeches; and a statistical annex. There is a list of contents at the beginning of each issue which have been added to each of the catalogue entries. Earlier copies of the Quarterly Bulletin, 1960 - 1998, can be found under reference EID5. After March 2016 the Quarterly Bulletin was no longer printed in paper form but continued to be published on the Bank's website - see 17A59 for July 2016 onwards of the Quarterly Bulletin in digital format only. |
