Description | This file contains two resolutions passed by a committee of fourth class clerks from 1912 and 1913 concerning the difficulties of being promoted sufficiently within twenty-eight years to receive their maximum salary under the 'New Scheme' of 1906. It also contains papers from 1919-1921 concerned with the creation of an Advisory Council of Directors and Staff (so that a union within the Bank could be avoided), lists of the subsequently elected representatives for different sections of the staff, and summaries of committee meetings. These include grievances about working conditions, hours, and pay. There are also papers from 1940-1941 concerning the election of representatives for the year 1941-1942 and the constitution of the Advisory Council at this date. |
