Admin HistoryIn the Court of Directors minutes dated 21st February 1935 (G4/157), the publication of 'The Outburst' is discussed. The minutes state that the publication first appeared in February 1934 and that until November of that year it consisted of one copy which had only a limited circulation. Commencing in December however, 250 copies were produced and sold to 'shareholders' in the venture, and the last issue, no 12, consisted of 350 copies of which 315 were sold. Circulation included both male and female clerks, though the latter could only obtain copies through a number of male clerks.

The editor of the publication was W H D Manchee, a 3rd class clerk in the Accountant's Department, was asked to tender his resignation as the person responsible for the publication.
DescriptionPrinted magazine, an anonymous production by the Staff, circulated amongst the 'Stockholders of the Outburst Press' rather than generally to the staff. Contains stories, poems, reviews, drawings, cartoons, and photographs.
