| Description | The bundle concerns the production of forged notes on the continent, in particular France. The bundle concerns two separate but related cases. Francois Blanc, who travelled from Calais to Dover in April 1797, was found in possession of forged notes, which were suspected to have been forged on the continent. In September 1810, [Chretien Simonis] Meinau was found in possession of forged notes. Two notes were made payable to Blanc. One of these forged notes is included. |
