DescriptionMemorial submitted to the Bank of England outlining the conduct of William Birch, constable of Stockport, and Robert Beeley, a clerk of John Lloyd of Stockport. Birch and Beeley went to investigate Margaret Dunlap, as forged notes had been traced to her. She was not home, but they encountered Lucy Robinson, with whom she lived. They took a pocketbook of notes to investigate. Lucy Robinson then brought proceedings against them, alleging they had stolen notes from the pocketbook.
