DescriptionWilliam Boyce uttered forged notes in Sheffield and other places, including Liverpool and Southport. Bundle includes, among other papers, a police notice dated 26 Sep 1860 with 'information from local police', which has a photograph of William Boyce affixed to it. The notice states that William Boyce had the aliases of Kelly, Baddon, Delaney and [Moran], and indicates that he had been charged and imprisoned for other crimes in the past. Other papers indicate that he had additional aliases (including Brice, Bryce and Madden). He is also accused of 'uttering base coin'.
