Description2 images showing an aerial view of the City looking towards the north, one taken in 1945 and the other in 1985. The Thames, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Bank can be seen in each image, which New Change also visible in the 1985 photograph. The image taken in 1945 shows the extend of the bomb damage to the area. These images were published together in an article from The Times, Monday August 19 1985, entitled 'Changing face of London over 40 years'. Verso of each: The Times copyright stamp.
