DescriptionThis series contains images of Threadneedle Street during the Second World War. Many of the images depict wartime activities, such as ARP warden activity and emergency medical treatment. There are also images of usual business activities taking place in adapted surroundings, such as the emergency court room set up in the vaults. The London skyline is present in several of the images which were taken from the Bank's rooftop.
