| Description | This volume contains typed transcripts of letters written to Humphrey Morice and is a continuation of an early draft of Acres' publication of a selection of Morice letters held by the Bank of England. The letters are arranged chronologically and many of them are annotated (presumably by Acres as part of his work to edit them for publication). Also contains two appendicies, the first containing five letters written by Morice and the second containing an order of the Duke of Kent to William Lowen, a reply letter from Lowen, a copy of a petition from Morice to the Prince of Wales, draft letter from Morice to the Duke of Kent, draft petition from Morice to King George I, draft order appointing Morice to the Office of the Master of the King's hounds. The dates given in the description field above are those of the original letters. |
