Admin HistoryThe Committee on Invisible Exports (COIE) was established in February 1968, to promote and support Britain's invisible exporters nationally and abroad. COIE was almost entirely financed by the private sector and was composed of representatives of the main contributors to Britain's invisible earnings, together with representatives from a number of Government departments and the Bank. The Bank also provided secretariat for the Committee. COIE became the British Invisible Exports Council (BIEC) in Dec 1983.
