Admin History | In 1973, HM Government initiated plans to remove the Companies Registration Office from London to Cardiff. These plans met considerable opposition within the City of London. The Bank of England was also concerned by the move and the then Deputy Governor, J Q Hollom, led a deputation from leading City institutions at a meeting with HM Government. The Companies Registration Office was transferred to Cardiff, however, plans were modified to allay concerns. |
