DescriptionAn album of correspondence between the Chief Accountant's Office staff evacuated to Whitchurch, Hampshire, and their office colleagues serving with HM Forces. Letters were written under the nom de plume of 'Dick Tate' and composed by members of the office in turn. Also includes postcards and letters written from staff serving in the forces, including Henry Cooke-Yarborough, Roger Osborne, Cabeldu, Redgrove, Richard Chamberlen, Russell Doyle, Kenneth Vallat, Gordon Earle, Tom S Saunders, R Tinott, J D Chisholm, R J S Green, Arthur Lea, Robert French, Young, Douglas H Tovey, Fred Hailey, Tom Elvy, A L Redgrave, Sidney Frost (including photographs, taken at Royal Air Force [RAF] Delegation, Dayton, Ohio), Basil Maunder, and J O Fowler. The volume also includes letters of condolence sent from the Bank.
