DescriptionMost of the department was evacuated to Whitchurch in Hampshire during World War Two. In the Whitchurch area there were sites at Hurstbourne Camp, Overton, and Foxdown Camp. The Dividend Accounts Office and part of the Dividend Pay and Loans Office from the Cashier's Department were evacuated to Barlaston Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire from 1939 to 1944.
