Description | The Central Mechanisation Office was established in September 1945. In 1951 it took over the duplicating and photostat sections from the Probationary Typists Office. There are various annual reports of the Central Mechanisation Office in the file. Also, Inspector's Report on Office, 27 February 1956. Part of Office transferred to new Organisation and Method Section, 1959; the remainder became the Central Machine Section There was a further transfer of work in 1962. The training of machine operators, and duplicating and photostat work remained with Establishment Department, but Central Machine Section ceased to exist. |
