Description(1) Investigations into increasing number of discounted bills being unpaid at maturity, due to neglect of proper enquiries by the Bill Office, 1793. Probably written by a Court Committee. (2) Royal Bank of Scotland: suggestion that 1727 Charter should be amended to enable an office to be opened in London (or elsewhere in England) for transacting banking business (confined to Scotland by the Charter), 1864.
