| Description | This file consists of papers relating to the agreement between the Bank, the Board of Trade and the Konig brothers, the action following the handing over of assets to the Custodian by the Konig sisters, naturalised Americans but married to Germans, against initially the Custodian, which failed, and later against the Konig brothers, which succeeded in the House of Lords in 1933. As a result the securities were returned to the Konig brothers, although costs were settled out of court in the Custodian's favour. |
